Siarra is a compassionate and empathetic counselor dedicated to supporting individuals as they learn and apply new skills while developing their awareness, self-acceptance, and agency. She aims to provide a warm and comfortable environment for clients where they can be open, honest, and vulnerable to meet their therapeutic goals. Siarra believes that cultural factors play a significant role in how we navigate through life. She focuses on addressing cultural matters and their potential to influence our perception of the world. Siarra desires to offer a safe space for clients to process and work through intense emotions to promote overall well-being.
Education:
Siarra is a master’s level therapist currently working towards obtaining full licensure as an LPC-MHSP. She received her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Styles:
She utilizes an integrative theoretical approach where she is grounded in person-centered principles, but also uses tenets from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Reality Therapy. She also specializes in working with children and adolescents, integrating Play Therapy and Sandtray Therapy techniques to help them express themselves, process emotions, and develop coping skills in a safe, engaging way.
Hobbies:
Siarra enjoys traveling to different states and countries, exercising, reading self-help books, listening to podcasts, and spending time with family and friends.
