Adult Anxiety Support Group

Cost: $30 per week – Must Reserve Seat

This is a 10-week group in which tools and skills will be created to help manage anxiety. We will discuss, identify, and challenge negative self-talk and intrusive thoughts that lead to anxiety, and we will review the cognitive model, exposure techniques, and mindfulness exercises. We will discuss implementing these skills to a variety of anxiety disorders, such as Panic disorder, Agoraphobia, Phobias, Social Anxiety, OCD, and Generalized Anxiety disorder.

During the 10 weeks, we will use a complimentary notebook provided by the instructors. Each week there are homework assignments which are discussed as a group at the following session.

Week 4: Affirmations and Personality Styles
Week 5: Learning About Exposures

LGBTQ+ Support Group

This is an 8-week group in which tools and skills will be created to help navigate negative experiences related to marginalization and stigmas faced by being in the LGBT+ community.  We will discuss, identify, and challenge negative self-talk and learn how to reduce stress, identify internal resources, and build resiliency. This is a safe space to bring your whole self and connect with others who are going through the same things.

During the 8 weeks we will use a complementary notebook provided by the instructors. Each week there are homework assignments which are discussed as a group at the following session.

Week 3: Tolerating Negativity and Building Positivity (Dealing with Emotions)
Week 4: Defining and Exploring the Trauma
Week 5: Feelings are Real but Not True
Week 6: Feeling the Emotions and Releasing them
Week 7: Setting Boundaries
Week 8: Embracing Intuition (Art Activity: creating your guide)
