Intro:
The uncertainties that come with the complexities of everyday life can feel so overwhelming, at times. Many of the teen and adult clients I work with are faced with daily uncertainties associated with OCD, anxiety, late-diagnosed neurodivergence, chronic illness, and/or trauma. The complexity associated with these lived experiences can be a struggle to manage at times. Often, my clients come to me struggling to know and embody their authentic identity. I specialize in helping my clients identify what matters to them, face their fears or past, and live in alignment with their values. It is my goal to help you live your fullest life.
Education:
Julie (she/her) holds a Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Indiana University East. Julie has additional training in exposure response prevention, acceptance and commitment therapy, Brainspotting, neurodiversity-affirming practice, and trauma-informed care.
My style:
Julie’s therapeutic style can be described as approachable, authentic, and motivational. She maintains elements of softness and strength in her demeanor as she empowers you on your path. Julie believes in you even when it’s hard to believe in yourself, and she will always encourage you to learn something new.
Hobbies:
Julie loves to spend time outside amongst the trees, swim backstroke, journal, read books, and research interesting topics. Most of the time, you can find Julie at her favorite place, home, being cozy with her family and dog. When she does venture out, Julie is usually on her way to the bookstore.
