Intro:
Are the ups and downs of life becoming unmanageable? Anxiety, OCD, depression, and other challenges can exacerbate the typical ebbs and flows of life to what feels like a breaking point. However, even if you are at rock bottom, I believe you are a whole, unbroken human being. I believe your power rests within you, even if you are not fully aware of it yet. It is my passion and joy to empower everyone I work with to recognize their wholeness, embody their power, and live a value-oriented lifestyle.
Education:
Julie (she/her) holds a Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Indiana University East. Julie has additional training in exposure response prevention, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, neurodiversity-affirming practice, and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).
My Style:
Julie’s therapeutic style can be described as approachable, authentic, and motivational. She maintains elements of softness and strength in her demeanor as she empowers you on your path. Julie believes in you even when it’s hard to believe in yourself, and she will always encourage you to learn something new.
Hobbies:
Julie loves to spend time outside amongst the trees, swim backstroke, journal, read books, and research interesting topics. Most of the time, you can find Julie at her favorite place, home, being cozy with her family and dog. When she does venture out, Julie is usually on her way to the bookstore.
