Introduction:

It can be very easy to find oneself feeling unable or uncomfortable to speak about issues on one’s mind, and Matthew (he/they) is hopeful to offer a space where these thoughts and feelings can be explored. Everyone’s journey varies, and it can be stressful to open up to someone new, but taking the step of voicing these concerns can be the beginning of healing and growth. Matthew is motivated to join someone in their journey and walk alongside to support, learn, and grow. Matthew is focussed on meeting people where they currently are and taking time to understand what areas of growth would like to be attended to. Be this working through struggles around LGBT+ identities, or tackling more generalized anxiety, Matthew utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach, but has had more experience with person-centered therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy as well.
