Intro:
We all have a story, and the stories that we carry have a big impact on who we are and how we show up in the world. Not only in our relationships with others, but in our relationships with ourselves. There is so much power in exploring our stories to find meaning, healing, and connection. Finding the right therapist can be such a helpful tool in that process!
I believe that therapy is more than just problem-solving—how can you problem-solve in a space where you don’t feel safe, supported, and truly heard? In sessions, I work collaboratively with my clients to explore their stories, navigate their experiences, uncover patterns in relationships, create safety and understanding of self, and work towards solutions that align with their values and goals. Whether you’re processing the past or seeking clarity for the future, I would love the opportunity to walk alongside you with curiosity and compassion!
Education:
Raven specializes in trauma and relationship-focused therapies, bringing expertise to her work with individuals, couples, and families. She earned her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Lipscomb University, and her B.S. in Psychology at Western Washington University. Raven is trained in EMDR, certified in Prepare and Enrich, and trained in Gottman Level 1, equipping her to help clients build healthier, more connected relationships. Originally from Washington State, Raven has embraced Tennessee as her home for the past three years.
My Style:
Raven understands that every individual and system is unique, which is why she takes a flexible, client-centered approach to therapy. She believes that each person is the expert of their own life and views her role as a supporter and collaborator in the journey toward healing and growth. Raven uses a multifaceted approach tailored to her clients’ needs, often combining Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Somatic work to provide the most effective care. Additionally, she is trained in EMDR, which allows her to support clients in processing trauma and building resilience. Raven is committed to creating a safe, compassionate space where clients feel empowered to explore their stories, deepen self-awareness, and work toward meaningful change.
Hobbies:
In her free time, Raven loves staying active through yoga and walking her puppy. She enjoys exploring new places, and has a passion for live music and stand up comedy. In her day to day, she gets excited about trying new recipes, enjoying a nitro cold brew, and spending time with her loved ones.
