About Thiago Kugelmas

Intro:

Thiago is passionate about helping clients work through anything that keeps them from living their most authentic and fulfilling lives. He believes that providing a welcoming, safe, warm, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood is essential for a successful therapeutic relationship. Thiago offers a holistic approach, focusing on each client’s cultural background, needs, goals, and uniqueness. He aims to provide an environment where clients feel comfortable being vulnerable, transparent, and fully themselves.

Education:

Thiago is an intern counselor studying for his Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling at Belmont University in Nashville. He received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.

Hobbies:

In his free time, Thiago likes to watch TV, read, listen to music, play the piano, sing, attend concerts, spend time with friends and family, go on walks, visit new places, try new restaurants and coffee shops, travel, be around nature, and do outdoor activities.

Specialties:

Thiago is interested in and open to working with all clients! He is passionate about trauma-informed care and working with people from minority groups, especially LGBTQIA+, and those dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety, marginalization, bullying, discrimination, stigmatization, life transitions, and anything getting in the way of living an authentic and fulfilling life. He uses a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, client-centered, and integrative approach to counseling, tailoring to each client’s needs and goals.
