My name is Crystal. I’m here to create a safe-space for everyone.  As a future licensed clinical social worker, I want my clients to be heard and feel validated. Therapy may sound scary, but therapy has proven to help benefit long term effects. Working on building a therapeutic relationship and want to help you achieve your goals. I believe in meeting people where they are and honoring the impact of culture, identity, and lived experience on mental health. My approach is strengths-based and collaborative, helping clients build resilience, increase self-awareness, and move toward their personal goals. “The things that make me different are the things that make me” -Winnie the Pooh

Education: 

Pursuing my master’s in clinical social work at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Currently have my BA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I have a certificate in substance abuse counseling.

Hobbies: 

In my spare time, I love to cook and bake. On a rainy day, I love to read a good horror/thriller book. In my spontaneous moods, I get the motivation to paint and draw. I love to work out, especially cardio kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. My minor workouts include yoga and nature hikes. I also love working on Disney Thomas Kinkade jigsaw puzzles.

Specialties: 

I enjoy working with youth, adolescents, and young adults from all backgrounds. My approach integrates Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and person-centered practices to support clients in building insight, resilience, and meaningful change. I am passionate about continuing to learn and grow as a clinician.
