Hi, I’m Alyssia! As a counseling intern, I want to provide a space where your life is given voice in ways that can be overshadowed by daily routine. When entering this space, I want you to feel fully embraced—no triumphs too small and no grievances too trivial. My goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship that embodies collaboration and self-discovery in an empathy and compassion-fueled manner.

Education

Since earning a BA in Psychology from Lipscomb University, I have been pursuing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the same institution.

Hobbies

In my free time, I love to relax while reading a good book or watching one of my many comfort shows. I also enjoy trying different activities, often finding one that I like and sticking with it until I’m really good at it—my most recent endeavor: bowling. When I’m not reading or trying to reach a new high score, I love going on walks, listening to music, hanging out with friends, or all three in one.

Specialties

Open to individuals across the life span—Anxiety, Body Image, Trauma (including racial and religious), Chronic Illness, Life Transitions, Self Discovery
