Sharon (she/her) provides compassionate, trauma and attached focused therapy for adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction recovery, neurodivergence, and life transitions. She believes healing happens when people feel genuinely seen, understood, and empowered. Sharon is passionate about helping clients move beyond simply surviving and begin building lives that feel meaningful, connected, and aligned with their values. She believes therapy should be both validating and challenging, balancing acceptance with meaningful growth.

Education

Sharon earned her Master of Counselor Education in Clinical Mental Health and is a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation (LPC-MHSP) and is a LPC Supervisor. She is licensed in Tennessee, Colorado, and Louisiana and has extensive experience providing trauma focused care to clients in various levels of care, leading intensive treatment programs, supervising clinicians, and developing trauma-informed programming. Throughout her career, she has specialized in evidence-based treatments while mentoring new therapists and leading clinical teams.

Style

Sharon’s approach is warm, collaborative, and authentic. She believes the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in successful treatment and works to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being honest, even about the hardest things. Her sessions are structured enough to help clients make meaningful progress while remaining flexible enough to meet each person’s unique needs. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and draws from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Parts Work/Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed interventions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, Sharon tailors treatment to each client’s goals, strengths, and stage of healing.

Hobbies

Outside of the therapy office, Sharon enjoys spending time with her family, their pets, and exploring Tennessee together. She loves hiking, camping, farmer’s markets, thrifting, board games, exercise and reading.
