About Catherine Baker
Nashville , TN 37205
Life is hard and so are emotions. Catherine (she/ her) recognizes that seeking help and engaging in the process of therapy can be extremely difficult and scary because she has been there too. Catherine works to honor everyone who takes that step with her. Together, we will help identify what you are wanting from therapy and how we can get there together.
Catherine received her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Trevecca University. She received her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Jewish Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Knowing that everyone’s path looks different but is impacted by their identities, Catherine draws on multicultural and feminist principals. Catherine also utilizes skills from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative, and Cognitive therapy while drawing on principals of polyvagal theory and incorporating somatic techniques.
Catherine likes to spend any and all free time with her dog, taking him for walks, teaching him new tricks, and making sure he stays stylish. She also enjoys playing her Nintendo Switch, listening to music, and watching movies.
