“……As we are liberated from our own fears our presence automatically liberates others” – Maryanne Williamson
or ” Keep some room in your heart for the unimaginable”-Mary Oliver

Elliott (He/him) is passionate about providing client centered care through a humanistic approach to those struggling with and affected by substance use. I am a firm believer in providing a safe and non-judmental environment to all clients and am to meet a client where they are at in their life journey and to walk with them while they explore how to become the whole and authentic person they are meant to be.

Education:

Received LADAC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor) in June of 2021 and has been working in the addiction space since 2015 with personal life experience to help aide client’s and family members on their therapeutic journey. I consider myself a lifelong learner and hope to expand education to an eventual PhD.

Style:

I have a passion for working with members of the LGBTQ+ community with added specialty for all individuals in their gender exploration struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health struggles. I use a client centered, trauma informed approach using various therapeutic modalities while providing a safe and supportive environment for an individual to be wholly and authentically themselves without judgement.

Hobbies:

When not working I love spending time with my partner, our dogs and being outside. Photography, kayaking and hiking bring me great joy as do jigsaw puzzles and a good ‘ole book on a rainy day.

Specialties:

Ages 12+, Substance use, gender identity, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-expression.

Please note: all therapists at Works Counseling Center are LGBT+ competent and committed to anti racism.
